This is a participatory discussion course about ways to simplify and enrich our lives, avoid over-consumption and focus on what's important. As a practice, to simplify is to reduce to essentials, to streamline, and to clarify. This curriculum examines the view that each person can, at the same time, improve his or her quality of life, reduce expenses, and live more lightly on the Earth.
It also explores how to be at ease, free from compulsion and attachment, and without the need to possess or control. The discipline is to consciously simplify, by gradually releasing the things, attitudes, and commitments that distract us in our daily lives. Note: you need to commit to coming to at least 4 of the 5 sessions, preferably all five.

Quote from Jonathan: "I took an earlier version of this course in 2000, and it changed my life. By getting to know a small group of folks with similar values, it jump-started my involvement with ERUUF."
