 ory of North Carolina roots music and its impact nationwide\, including sp
 ecific movements and artists who are active right now based in Durham. \nW
 orkshop 3 - Wednesday January 29\; Technologies of Folk Music: A hands-on 
 workshop on the banjo\, bones and instruments that shaped the soundscape o
 f modern American music.\nWorkshop 4 - Saturday February 1\; Folk Music To
 day: A breakdown on folk elements in pop music\, gospel music\, and dance 
 music\nWorkshop 5 - Saturday February 8\; How I Create Folk Music That Rea
 ches the Masses: What a modern musical recording session looks like\, and 
 a breakdown of exactly how we make the records that end up in movies and o
 n the radio/streaming.\nWorkshop 6 - Saturday February 15\; Let’s Create T
 ogether: Demeanor will bring his equipment\, and you bring an item of sign
 ificance to you. He will record the sounds these items make\, and turn the
 m into playable instruments on the computer\, making a new song together a
