We wanted to update you on some exciting things happening at ERUUF. The Board of Trustees has been hard at work on several initiatives, and we're thrilled to share some of them with you:
- The Board’s Committee on the Evaluation of Ministry (CEM) has created the annual, confidential Pulse Survey. This is an opportunity for Members and Friends to share their ideas and opinions on how we’re doing as a congregation. Results from the survey are shared with the Board, Rev. Jacqueline, the Sr. Ministerial Staff, and the congregation. The feedback is invaluable and helps ERUUF in planning, programming, and evaluating progress. This is your last chance to participate, and we hope you will —as the survey closes on April 14th.
- The Nominating Committee has put together the final slate of candidates to serve on the Board of Trustees, the Nominating Committee, and the Healthy Congregations Committee. These candidates will serve for three years beginning in July 2024 and will be voted on at the Annual Meeting in May.
- Mark your calendars for ERUUF’s Annual Meeting, which will be held Sunday, May 19 from 12:15-2:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. It will also be livestreamed so that people can attend virtually. More information will follow!
- The Governance Committee formulated a new policy for designation of Minister Emerit, which the Board recently approved. Preparations are now underway by ministerial staff to propose honoring Rev. Cayer with title of Minister Emerita at ERUUF’s May Annual Meeting. The Governance Committee also received a Foundation grant to hire a DEI consultant to review and apply an equity lens to our Bylaws and Policy Manual texts; by next fall, the congregation will have an opportunity to learn more about this effort, comment on any proposed amendments, and vote on them in May 2025.
We're excited about ERUUF’s future. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to talk with a Board member during coffee hour after service, or send us an email at .
Thank you for being a part of our beloved community!
