The complete ERUUF Library collection is now searchable online! Wait, the ERUUF Library collection? Yes, ERUUF has a lending library for ERUUF members. It's in Room 6 of the Care Building. Check out the link to our online catalog, and tips on how to find resources that will enrich your unique spiritual journey.
Diversity is definitely the word for the Library collection. Authors range from Robert Fulghum, Forrester Church, and William Ellery Channing, to Deepak Chopra, Saint Teresa of Avila, Black Elk and Thich Nhat Hanh. You might want to check out subject areas such as Death & Dying or Parenting & Family Issues to find resources for your covenant group. ERUUF's own Clicking for a Cause group generously donated a number of books on the spirituality of needlecraft to enhance the Prayer, Meditation & Spirituality category.
The Library has a need for more items on Unitarian Universalism and Humanism. Reverend Cayer has generously donated about 20 UU titles as a gift to the Fellowship on the occasion of her installation as Lead Minister. Our members can help as well. Maybe you are downsizing your home and have books or audiovisual items about Unitarian Universalism or UU History, by UU authors, or of interest to Humanists. If they've served you well but you have run out of space, they can have second life as resources for the whole congregation. (At this time the Library is relatively full otherwise and lacks room for donations on other subjects.)
ERUUF is fortunate to have been able to develop a Library for congregational use through the generous donations of many of our members over the years, and to have had those donations cataloged and organized by some of ERUUF's members who are also librarians. These include Peggy Schaeffer, LaVerne Coan, Carmela Kemp, Martha Haswell, and Marlys Ray.
Donations can be placed in the bin labeled "donations". The books will be screened for relevance to existing library topics. Donations that don't fit into the library will be passed on to local thrift stores.
We're grateful for the occasional assistance of a couple of covenant groups, and other "friends of librarians"! If you have any questions about the Library, contact our current library coordinator, Jenny Loome, .
