Class with the Minister: Poetry as Sacred Practice
Facilitated by Rev. Jacqueline Brett.
This spring, over the course of five sessions, we'll cultivate our gifts for resilience by exploring poems as sources that inspire us. The process will be twofold: reading the work of others and writing our own works through practices of reflection, presence, healing, and "good medicine".
No writing experience is necessary, only an open heart and a commitment to process, practice, andpresence (for self and others). Participants are asked to select a published collection of poetry they find inspiring to work with over the course of the class. A list of collections to consider will be provided.
This class is designed as a small-group community of practice rather than a drop-in class. Please register in advance below.
