Imbolc/Candlemas Celebration
Join us in person to celebrate Imbolc/Candlemas, the sacred Cross Quarter halfway between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox; honored as the time when the ice begins to melt and the rivers run free again. In Ireland, Imbolc signals the beginning of Spring and is sacred to the Goddess Brigid, also known as St. Brigid. It is also a holy day for celebrating the hibernating animals who are beginning to stir (i.e., Groundhog's Day).
Imbolc means "in the womb" and Candlemas is often celebrated by lighting candles of promise, dedication, and commitment. All of these commemorations echo within us, within our ever-emerging, ever-transforming being, always finding new ways to flow out in freedom, newness, celebration, and rebirth. To what are you dedicated? What are you birthing? What is stirring within you awaiting renewal? Let's share time to honor where we pledge to put our energy.
This gathering is open to all like-hearted adults. Feel free to invite others!
