The Whitewashing of American History
What happens when history is erased and "uncomfortable" facts are revised? “Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it” (Edmund Burke). History can be a “poisoned well, seeping into the ground-water” (Anne Michaels), and can allow bad ideas from the past to be resurrected. The erasure of historical facts in America is happening right now. Black history is being systemically whitewashed. What can we learn, what can we do? Join us to watch a video that portrays the way revisionist history is being carried out.
