Have you noticed the new plants in the patio garden near the Fellowship Hall? This garden had been overtaken by a native, but very invasive and thorny, rose bush. In April, the rose bush, with most of its extensive roots, was dug out and a number of (mostly) native flowering perennials were planted in its place.

About half of these were donated by Beth Harvat from her home gardens; several came from plantings elsewhere on campus, and the rest were purchased. The garden team hopes that this will provide color and interest throughout the growing season.
