UU Justice NC's Friday Action Hour - Friday, October 2nd at 11:00am - Constitutional Amendments on the Ballot with The NC Budget & Tax Center. This fall, North Carolinians will vote on two constitutional amendments related to taxes. 1) to keep the state income tax rate from being raised higher than 3.5 percent, and 2) requiring limits on property tax increases by local governments. This week, Heba Atwa will join us to talk about why our values call us to vote NO on these harmful constitutional amendments.

This program not only serves voters with disabilities, but also voters who call into the 888-OUR-VOTE hotline, and individuals who prefer to return their mail-in ballot to their county board of elections for safety reasons. The Rides to the Polls team will also have the opportunity to do rapid response ballot curing by hanging notifications on the doors of individuals whose ballots need to be corrected.
