Where do the flowers that grace our altar on Sunday go on Monday? They might go home with their donors, but if not, they travel to the homes of ERUUF members to give comfort and cheer. The partnership between the Flower Team and the Pastoral Care Team that brings this about has been going strong for several years. The Flower Team ensures we have a beautiful arrangement of blooms each week, notifying the Pastoral Care Team when those flowers are available to be given away. The Pastoral Care Team identifies members for whom a bouquet would be especially appreciated, gathers the Sunday flowers, arranges them in smaller vases, and then delivers them. On Sunday a flower donation, then, adds beauty to the sanctuary while it provides an opportunity for donors to honor a special person, announce a joyous event, or share a remembrance.
