UU Justice NC's Friday Action Hour, September 20th at 11:00. We will be joined by Noel Nickle, Director of the NC Coalition for Alternatives to the Death Penalty. Beginning September 26th, the NCCADP team will walk 136 miles to raise awareness of the 136 lives at risk of execution in North Carolina and to call on Governor Roy Cooper to eliminate that risk by commuting death sentences to prison terms before he leaves office at the end of 2024. North Carolina Abortion Rights Interfaith Phone Bank. Tuesday September 24th from 7:00 - 9:00 Join Side With Love, UU Justice NC, Pro-Choice North Carolina, and Carolina Jews for Justice for our second fall phonebank calling North Carolina voters. The future of abortion access in North Carolina is on the line this election! Even though there isn't a ballot initiative, abortion is absolutely on the ballot in NC, because those we elect will either defend and advance abortion access, or keep banning it. Democracy NC Vote Protectors Trainings - Vote Protectors will monitor polling places in their communities flagging, long lines, problems with curbside voting or accessibility, voter confusion, and misinformation or voter suppression. Sign up for one of four online training this month! You'll get a crash course in election law and best practices for voter engagement to ensure every voter that arrives at the polls this election is supported and their ballot is counted.
