Letter to the Congregation

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees would like to thank the members of the Ministerial Search Committee for their careful work on the search and their commitment to our congregation. We are proud to concur with their recommendation of Rev. Jacqueline Brett as the candidate for ERUUF’s Lead Minister.

We hereby announce a special meeting of the full congregation on January 30th to vote on the call of Rev. Jacqueline Brett as ERUUF’s next Lead Minister.

Letter from the Ministerial Search Committee

Your Ministerial Search Committee is thrilled to recommend Reverend Jacqueline Brett as the candidate for our lead minister. Under our by-laws the Board is required to concur in our recommendation; they have unanimously endorsed Rev. Brett as the candidate for our next lead minister.

• On December 24, the 4:00 pm Christmas Eve service will be outside; all are welcome.
• The 7:00 pm service will be by reservation, and also will be live-streamed. We will sing outdoors with masks and social distancing. We strongly recommend that only vaccinated people make a reservation for this service.  
• The December 26 service was previously recorded and will be by live stream only.
• Beginning January 2, Sunday services will continue at 10:45 am, online only, members not in attendance. The service will be produced by a very small worship team from ERUUF's Sanctuary. Masks, distancing, and handwashing continue in effect. Classes and groups will continue online or outside (at the choice of the group/leaders). We'll let everyone know immediately if safety requires moving to online only.

R.E. has been busy getting in the holiday spirit and connecting with one another. On December 4th R.E. hosted Nifty Gifty for parents to drop off their children to craft gifts for loved ones. Volunteers Cathy Kielar, Susan Baylies, Betsy Bickel, Laura Busse, Lillian Zwemer, Dana Thomas, Arco Williams, Robyn Heeks, Joel Smith, Jess Poland, Waverely Harrell, Barbara Berry & Kristin Wright created wonderful crafts and were so generous with their time and creativity. Jim Van Verth, Celena Urquia, and Barbara Busse helped supply materials for crafting. It was a marvelous morning and so delightful to be in community with each other, see the excitement of the children around giving, and create together (even the adults participated in the crafting).
