Where do the flowers that grace our altar on Sunday go on Monday? They might go home with their donors, but if not, they travel to the homes of ERUUF members to give comfort and cheer. The partnership between the Flower Team and the Pastoral Care Team that brings this about has been going strong for several years. The Flower Team ensures we have a beautiful arrangement of blooms each week, notifying the Pastoral Care Team when those flowers are available to be given away. The Pastoral Care Team identifies members for whom a bouquet would be especially appreciated, gathers the Sunday flowers, arranges them in smaller vases, and then delivers them. On Sunday a flower donation, then, adds beauty to the sanctuary while it provides an opportunity for donors to honor a special person, announce a joyous event, or share a remembrance. On Monday, it brings the love of our congregation into our homes. To arrange a donation contact .

Announcing the Inaugural Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (ERUUF) Artist-in-Residence
The Eno River Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (ERUUF) is proud to announce that Justin “Demeanor” Harrington has been selected as the congregation’s inaugural Artist-in-Residence.
ERUUF invited Triangle-area artists to apply to the Artist-in-Residence Program. Several outstanding artists submitted their portfolios of work leading to a highly competitive selection process. Demeanor demonstrated a unique approach to his art form and a vision for working with ERUUF and the larger community in ways that inspired the selection committee.
Demeanor coined the term “Rap is Folk” after merging his experience as a clawhammer banjo player and a Hip Hop artist, making the assertion that Hip Hop is a traditional American folk music form. The ERUUF residency will run from January 2025, with programming that concludes in May 2025. Demeanor will create work and engage with the ERUUF worship team and community through a combination of discussions, workshops, and performances with an eye toward innovation in worship arts and concluding with a concert in late May.
Foundation Awareness Sundays (October 13 and 20)
The Eno River Fellowship Foundation is a non-profit financial entity founded by ERUUF members in 1989 to provide long-term financial support for ERUUF. Contributions to the Foundation from ERUUF members and friends over the last 35 years have created an endowment that helps sustain ERUUF by supporting its mission and annual strategic vision.
The Foundation invests the endowment funds and distributes a percentage of the returns each year to ERUUF primarily through grants.
Some recent notable programs and projects that have been funded by the Foundation include racial equity and inclusion workshops, transgender inclusion programs, the new house band and major infrastructure projects such as the sanctuary AV system and solar panels.
More information about the Foundation will be shared before, during and after the 11:00 am service on October 13 and 20.
Please stop by the Foundation table before or after the service to ask questions and learn more. More about the Foundation here.
